Iminodisuccinic acid salt can be used to produce readily biodegradable micro element nutrient chelates fertilizers that are applied in agriculture and horticulture as foliar sprays, in soil application as well as in hydroponics and fertigation.
1. Impact of manganese on photosynthesis:
Key in photosystem II, involved in water photolysis for oxygen and electron transfer, supplying energy and materials. In algal and higher plant chloroplasts, it ensures photolysis and electron transfer. Affects electron transport chain, stabilizes transporters, aids ATP synthesis in spinach.
2. Manganese in plant respiration:
Activates respiratory enzymes like dehydrogenases, promotes substrate dehydrogenation in aerobic respiration, participates in ATP production via oxidative phosphorylation. In wheat seed germination, it activates enzymes for energy.
3. Manganese in plant growth:
Affects hormone balance, promotes cell elongation and division. Helps pea seedling stem, leaf growth and root development.
4. Manganese for stress resistance:
Component of antioxidant enzymes like SOD. Scavenges ROS. Cacti use manganese - SOD against drought oxidative stress. Can enhance plant disease resistance. Regulates tomato cell wall or induces resistance substances, reduces tomato wilt incidence.
