Polymer modified amino acid based high-efficiency and ECO friendly gypsum retarder
Amino acid retarders can undergo complexation reactions with calcium ions generated during the hydration process of gypsum. Taking aspartic acid as an example, the carboxyl group in its molecule can form stable complexes with calcium ions. In the early stage of gypsum hydration, hemihydrate gypsum reacts with water to form dihydrate gypsum and release calcium ions. Amino acid retarders quickly bind to these calcium ions.
